Los Angeles, CA (October 2, 2025)—Craft Recordings is proud to unveil its lineup for Record Store Day Black Friday 2025. Available exclusively at participating independent music retailers on Friday, November 28, this year’s selection features first-ever vinyl editions, rare live recordings, vibrant color pressings, and imaginative new packages that span funk, rock, punk, psych, salsa, soundtracks, holiday jazz, and more.
Among the highlights: Creed’s high-octane Live in San Antonio, captured during the band’s Human Clay zenith and making its vinyl debut; Vince Guaraldi Trio’s evergreen classic A Charlie Brown Christmas, reimagined as a special pop-up gatefold edition in celebration of the album’s 60th anniversary; and Jazz Dispensary’s latest cinematic caper, Green Bullets, a fuel-injected compilation that imagines a lost ’70s heist flick. Other exclusives include Jonathan Richman’s tender You Must Ask the Heart (finally on vinyl), Flowers in the Afternoon: Late-1960s Sunshine (the third entry in Craft’s psych/garage RSD series), the first-time-on-vinyl Punk Goes Acoustic, an all-analog cut of Ray Barretto’s salsa landmark Together, and two score-lover musts: Alan Silvestri’s The Back to the Future Trilogy and John Debney’s The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water.

Various Artists — Jazz Dispensary: Green Bullets (1-LP, “Green Thunder” Vinyl)
Gas, grass, or jazz—nobody rides for free. Green Bullets is the latest joyride from Jazz Dispensary’s cult-favorite compilation series: a crate-digging tour through high-octane funk, fusion, and cinematic grooves that feels like the soundtrack to a 1970s action caper gone very, very wrong. Dizzy Gillespie turns up the heat, Isaac Hayes Movement locks into head-nodding swagger, Mongo Santamaría flips a familiar melody into Latin-funk bliss, and deep-catalog heroes like Blue Aquarius, Catalyst, and Studio G keep the needle on full throttle. Like past Jazz Dispensary installments that have become RSD fan rituals, Green Bullets pairs audiophile-minded mastering with heady infectious grooves—made for DJs, collectors, and anyone who loves their jazz with octane and attitude. Pressed on “Green Thunder” color vinyl, limited to 5,800 worldwide.

Creed — Live in San Antonio (2-LP, Metallic Silver Vinyl)
Captured November 14, 1999 at San Antonio’s Freeman Coliseum, Live in San Antonio drops you right into the roar of a sold-out Texas crowd as Creed storm through the Human Clay era. Newly remastered for vinyl, the set bottles the band’s late-’99 ferocity—Scott Stapp’s baritone cutting through Mark Tremonti’s towering riffs, underpinned by Brian Marshall and Scott Phillips in lockstep. The 13-song sprint balances fist-pumping anthems (“Are You Ready?,” “What If,” “My Own Prison”) with breakout hits (“Higher,” “With Arms Wide Open”) and fan-favorite deeper cuts. Pressed on metallic-silver 2-LP, limited to 4,800 copies worldwide.

Various Artists — Flowers in the Afternoon: Late-1960s Sunshine (1-LP, “Sunshine” Vinyl)
The third entry in Craft’s psych/garage RSD trilogy (following the beloved Poppies and Double Whammy) spotlights sunshine pop—those harmony-stacked, radio-ready singles that shimmered through the late ’60s. Producer/archivist Alec Palao curates a kaleidoscope of rare and hard-to-find cuts, including two previously unissued gems. Expect chiming guitars, orchestral flourishes, and chorus-soaked optimism from names you know like Mimi Fariña (who frequently collaborated with her sister Joan Baez), and names you’ll soon love like The Honey Jug and This Generation. An extensive new essay from GRAMMY®️-nominated music historian and compilation producer Palao offers insight into the singular sound that defined the popular music of a decade. Pressed on “Sunshine” orange translucent vinyl, and limited to 3,300 copies worldwide.

Jonathan Richman — You Must Ask the Heart (1-LP, “Candy-Heart Pink” Vinyl)
Jonathan Richman’s lovelorn 1995 treasure finally spins on vinyl for its 30th anniversary. Recorded with a small, rotating cast and a light touch, You Must Ask the Heart distills Richman’s trademark openness—tender melodies, wry humor, and a wide-eyed romantic streak—into a set that feels like a living-room serenade. The album moves from the moonlit sway of “Vampire Girl” to the stroll of “The Heart of Saturday Night,” and the bittersweet shuffle “Let Her Go Into the Darkness.” Long praised for its guileless charm and “joyfully spirited” delivery, the record occupies a special corner of his catalog. This edition is remastered from the original source tape by Jeff Powell at Take Out Vinyl and pressed on “Candy-Heart” pink vinyl. Limited to 3,700 copies worldwide.

Your favorite punk classics—unplugged. The third installment in Fearless Records’ long-running Punk Goes franchise, Punk Goes Acoustic (2003) shifted the series from covers to intimate reinterpretations by the original artists, spotlighting songwriting beneath the distortion. Taking Back Sunday, Thursday, Yellowcard, Rise Against, Finch, and more strip their anthems to wood and wire, revealing the hooks and heart that made them era-defining. Making its vinyl debut, this RSD-exclusive offers a curated selection of tracks from the original CD release and is pressed on translucent “Lemonade” vinyl. Limited to 2,000 copies worldwide.

Ray Barretto’s 1969 Fania landmark roared out of New York with an irresistible blend of Latin jazz, boogaloo, Afro-Cuban, and hard salsa—an era-defining snapshot of the city’s pan-Latin sound. With Adalberto Santiago (vocals), Orestes Vilató (timbales), Louis (Louie) Cruz (piano), Andy González (bass), Roberto Rodríguez (trumpet), and Tony Fuentes (bongos), the band cooks through crowd-lifters like “Vive y vacila,” the Afro-Cuban jazz classic “Tin Tin Deo,” and the electric, Latin-funk title track.
